CIS for Internet supports lifelong career planning and promote career self-reliance. CIS for Internet components encourage self-assessment, exploration, goal setting, decision-making, and a planful job search. It is an essential, proactive, and participatory resource for employee assistance, vocational rehabilitation, life planning, career one-stops, and other adult career development programs. Encourage career self-management throughout one's life with CIS.
There are two licensing options for a businesses and agencies:
- Business and Agency License - For organizations that serve a particular client or customer group.
- Workforce Agency License - For CIS sites that provide career services to the general public (such as One-Stop Career Centers and Employment Department offices). If a site is designated a full service One-Stop in its workforce region, it must have a Workforce Agency Package license. A site may be a Workforce Agency Outreach Office if it is a branch of an organization with a Workforce Agency Package.
These licenses provide for unlimited access by the clients, customers, or employees of the licensed organization, at the office, from their own home, or from any computer with Internet access. They include the following CIS for Internet components:
Occupations, industries, job search, self-employment, programs of study and training, Oregon and U.S. schools, financial aid, and transfer policies.
The information sorting tools include Occupation Sort, Undergraduate School Sort, Graduate School Sort, and Financial Aid Sort. The formal career assessment instruments include SKILLS Assessment, Interest Profiler, and Work Importance Locator. IDEAS Assessment can be added for an additional license fee.
My Career Planning Portfolio
This personal career folder includes My CIS Favorites for storing links to and reflections about any information in CIS. My CIS Favorites also records the results of any of the Exploration Tools. My Career Planning Portfolio also collects job application and resume information in My Education and Work History.
CIS provides numerous resources online for staff a licensed sites.
Oregon CIS provides on-call technical support during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call or e-mail Customer and User Services staff for a fee quote or demonstration access. The license year for these options begins October 1.
